Meet the Council

In 2002 the Consortium for Diversified Psychology Programs (CDPP) changed its name to the Council for Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology (CHTP).

For twenty-five years we've been developing alliances and collaborative frameworks with institutions, individuals, and organizations representing over a dozen related fields of psychology. CHTP is the collective effort of like-minded individuals who passionately believe that this "Third Force" in psychology is needed now, more today than ever.

The intention of our May 2005 symposium at the Institute of Noetic Sciences was to move us from the past (with time to reflect on our shared history) into an appraisal of the emerging psychologies, a realistic assessment of key challenges we face together, and a commitment to a shared future.
